Minders & Rider Support
The minders are a vital part of the Australian campaign. They work closely with the riders before and during the event, helping each rider prepare for the sections, manage the motorcycle and stay focused throughout the day.
Motorcycling Australia invited minder applications alongside rider applications for the 2026 team. For Australian-based personnel, the commitment is approximately ten days and includes international travel, the pre-event training camp and competition.
Walk the sections with the rider, discuss possible lines and help assess changing terrain and conditions.
Carry essential tools and spares, assist with checks and help manage the motorcycle between sections.
Help monitor time, keep the rider moving through the course and coordinate with managers and support crew.
Provide calm, practical support and, where permitted, safety assistance so the rider can concentrate on each section.
What Is Involved
For Australian-based riders and support personnel, the campaign means about ten days away from home, international travel, bike and equipment preparation, minder support, administration and a pre-event training camp in Spain.
Team managers Chloe Whittle and Ella Peacock coordinate the planning, logistics and rider support needed to bring the group together and compete as one Australian team.
