Pathfinders is run by volunteers. The committee looks after the club between events, while event officials and helpers take responsibility for the many jobs needed on competition days.

President

Provides overall club leadership, chairs meetings, supports the committee and represents the club on broader issues.

Leo Nolan

Vice President

Supports the President and committee, helps progress club priorities and steps in when the President is unavailable.

Sean Austin

Secretary

Looks after club correspondence, notices, meeting administration and records, and is the main contact point for general club enquiries.

Simon Thomas

Treasurer

Manages the club’s finances, banking, payments, financial records and reporting to the committee and members.

Event-Day Contacts and Support Roles

Event Organiser

Coordinates preparation for a particular event, including section setting, property arrangements and the practical work needed before riders arrive.

Race Secretary / Event Administration

Handles event-day administration such as entries, sign-on, documentation and the records required for the event.

Observer Coordinator

Allocates and supports observers, organises observer equipment and helps make sure section scoring support is in place.

Officials

The Clerk of Course, Steward, Technical Officials and other appointed officials manage the sporting and safety responsibilities of each permitted event.

Scoring & Results

Collects and checks scoring information, resolves authorised corrections and produces event results using the club’s scoring systems.

Committee Members & Volunteers

Many other jobs — from equipment and working bees to communications and pack-away — are handled by committee members and club volunteers.
